COVID-19 Update

During this period of uncertainty and unprecedented disruption, we at McColl’s continue to be committed to serve our local communities.

Product Availability

Our colleagues have been working hard to maintain availability on all of the core products that our customers rely upon us for, but we are also working hard to ensure that we can also supply you with the products that are in high demand at this time.

In response to the high demand for some products, we are having to set limits on the number of certain items you can buy. Thank you for supporting us and appreciating these limits as we try to help as many people as possible.

Whilst we have introduced these limits, please be assured that we continue to have stock within our supply chain and are receiving regular deliveries to our stores.

Given the circumstances, please only buy what you and your family need and please do help the elderly and vulnerable with their shopping needs if you are in a position to do so.

Health & Safety

At all times, our priority is the health, safety and wellbeing of our customers and our colleagues.

We are continually monitoring government and health authority information and we are following official guidance in relation to COVID -19 to ensure that our policies and procedures reflect the best possible advice.

We are committed to the highest level of hygiene in our stores and we have strengthened our procedures to minimise the spread of COVID-19. These include:

- All colleagues are required to regularly wash their hands regularly during their shifts

- All hand contact surfaces are being cleaned regularly (including handles, counters and pinpads) with antibacterial cleaners and disposable cloths

Our teams in store have been given clear advice regarding their own personal health and hygiene and we have clear guidelines on when a colleague needs to self-isolate for the protection of themselves, their colleagues in store and for our customers. We also have clear guidance to be followed should someone be required to self-isolate to minimise any associated risks.

Store Closures

We may on occasions need to close stores for short periods of time to ensure that these standards can be maintained for your safety and that of the store team, and we thank you for your patience whilst we do our best to serve our local communities at this difficult time.
