Plus Prize Draws Terms & Conditions

The prize promotions forming part of Plus are run by McColl's Retail Group plc of McColl's House,
Ashwells Road, Brentwood, Essex, CM15 9ST ("we", "us", "our", "Promoter").
Your entry into Plus prize promotions will be governed by:
these general terms and conditions; and
the special conditions which apply to the individual prize draw (and the prize you can win by
taking part in that individual prize draw).
You can find details of current prize draws (and the relevant special conditions) by logging into your
Plus account and viewing the Win web-pages.
There are two types of prize promotion – the prize draws which you enter by making a qualifying
purchase in-store ("Store Promotion") and the online draws or competitions which you enter by
logging into your Plus online account and following the instructions on the individual Win promotion
web-pages ("Online Promotion").
1. The opening and closing dates of each Store Promotion will be specified on individual prize draw pages online and on in store communication and point of sale. The period of each promotion is referred to as the “Draw Period" in these terms and conditions.
2. You must be (a) a British resident aged 18 or over; and (b) a registered member of the Plus scheme, whose membership has been activated and is continuing, to enter or claim a prize.
3. Employees of McColl’s Retail Group plc, their immediate families, any employees of agencies
or third parties supplying a prize or associated with the draw, cannot enter or claim a prize.
Store Promotions
4. To enter into a Store Promotion, you must present your Plus card to a store colleague, in a
McColl's, Martin's or RS McColl store in England, Wales or Scotland ("Participating Store"),
prior to payment and have a store colleague scan your card (see the Plus Terms and Conditions
for further details).
5. Simply make sure you use your Plus card in store each time you buy. With every qualifying
purchase in a Participating Store, you'll earn an entry into our current Store Promotion. There
will be one regular draw per Draw Period. From time to time, we may also conduct additional
Store Promotions, outside of the regular draw ("Additional Store Promotions") – details of any
such Additional Store Promotions will be provided in-store and online on the relevant Win
web-pages.
6. A "qualifying purchase" for entry into the regular draw is a purchase of any item other than
one of the following excluded products ("Excluded Products"): tobacco, stamps, gift cards,
infant formula / milk, lottery tickets and games, mobile top-ups, ‘e’ top-ups, bill payments,
HND, fuel & cash back. A purchase of an Excluded Product will not entitle you to entry into any
Store Promotion. A "qualifying purchase" for any Additional Store Promotion will be a
purchase of the individual product(s) specified in the special conditions relating to that
Additional Store Promotion – see the Win web-pages for details of any current Additional Store
Promotions. 
7. We reserve the right to disqualify any entry which relates to a transaction which is null and
void or in respect of which a reversal is conducted or you receive a refund, whether
immediately or at a later time. Disqualification will be without any notification to you. To
ensure that you have an entry into the Store Promotion, simply make another qualifying
purchase in store, during the Draw Period, presenting your Plus card.
8. For the regular draw, there will be one winner per Draw Period who will win a prize for using
their Plus card in that Draw Period for a qualifying purchase in a Participating Store. Members
may only win one Store Promotion prize once in any Draw Period. For details of the current
Draw Period by competition please see the individual competition Win web-pages.
9. Prizes will be awarded to entries picked at random by computer or an independent person 7
working days after the closing date, which, in the case of the regular draw, is 23.59 on the last
day of each Draw Period. Unless stated otherwise in the special conditions relating to the
particular Store Promotion, each winner will be contacted by telephone, post or email within
21 days of the closing date, and be sent their prize by post no later than 28 days after the
closing date. If a winner of a Store Promotion cannot be contacted using reasonable efforts
within 21 days (or the time specified in the special conditions relating to the particular Store
Promotion) from the closing date then an alternative winner will be drawn from the eligible
entries for that Store Promotion.
10. Each Additional Store Promotion will have special conditions which set out, among other
things, the Draw Period, any additional restrictions or conditions on entry, how to participate,
the number and nature of prizes and how winners will be selected and notified. For details of
our current Additional Store Promotions, including special conditions please visit the Win webpage
relating to that Additional Store Promotion.
Online Promotions
11. Each Online Promotion will have special conditions which set out, among other things, the
Draw Period, any additional restrictions or conditions on entry, how to participate, the number
and nature of prizes and how winners will be selected and notified. For details of our current
Online Promotions, including special conditions please visit the Win web-page relating to that
Online Promotion.
12. Unless otherwise specified in the relevant special conditions, each Plus member may enter
each Online Promotion only once. We reserve the right to disqualify any duplicated, bulk or
third party entries and any entries submitted using automated means.
13. Prizes will be awarded to entries picked at random by computer or an independent person 7

General
14. There is no cash alternative to any prize. All prizes are non-transferable. You may decline to
accept any prize, in which case an alternative winner will be selected from all eligible entries
(in the same way as the original winner).
15. We reserve the right to award an alternative prize of equal or greater value, should the
advertised prize or any part of it become unavailable.
16. The Promoter's decision is final. No correspondence will be entered into. The name and county
of each winner will be available on request by sending a stamp addressed envelope to McColl's
Customer Service, McColl's House, Ashwells Road, Brentwood, Essex, CM15 9ST
17. Each winner may be required to participate in reasonable press or PR activity related to the
prize promotion as notified by us.
18. We reserve the right to cancel or amend any prize promotion or these rules at any time
without prior notice, with no liability to any entrants.
19. We can accept no responsibility for entries which fail to be properly submitted for any
technical reason whatsoever, and will reject entries submitted by any means other than those
set out in these general terms and conditions and the relevant special conditions. If your
membership of Plus is terminated during any promotion, then we reserve the right to
disqualify your entries into that promotion. Setting up multiple Plus accounts is a breach of the
Plus terms and conditions and may result in you being disqualified from any prize promotion
and/or your Plus membership being terminated.
20. These terms and conditions are subject to the laws of England and Wales.


Plus Terms & Conditions

1. Please contact McColl’s Retail Group plc (“McColl’s”, “we”, “us”, “our”) if you have any questions about the Terms and Conditions set out below by contacting our Customer Service team.

2. These Terms and Conditions along with the Privacy Policy together the “Terms”, govern the Plus Loyalty Scheme (“Plus”).
3. The Terms may be amended at any time by us, with the current version displayed here. If we change these terms and conditions at any time we will seek to give you notice first using the contact details you have provided to us. Membership of Plus is deemed to be acceptance of the Terms by any member of Plus (“Member”, “you”, “your”, “yourself”) or proposed Member.
4. Plus entitles you to benefits including savings (exclusive access to special offers and lower prices in store), entry into prize promotions (including prize draws and/or competitions) and rewards (including specially selected partner discounts and experiences). Additional terms and conditions may apply to these benefits, which will be notified to you at the time. Please note that 5% Discount offered in selected stores on Safeway and Heritage ranges exclude any Alcohol products.

7. To join Plus, you must be resident in England, Scotland, Wales aged 18 years or over and have an email address. We may refuse an application for any reason.
8. Plus is free to join. To become a Member of Plus you need to obtain a Plus card in-store and to register online at www.mccolls.co.uk or in store using the registration form. Your membership of Plus should be activated shortly after you complete the registration form.
9. To ensure that you receive Plus benefits, you must provide up-to-date and accurate information about yourself during the registration process and ensure that your details are updated when required to ensure that your details remain accurate at all times.
10. We will not be responsible for any loss of benefit(s) resulting from details being out of date or inaccurate.
11. Once you have registered and your account has been activated you will be allowed to log onto the Plus pages of the web site using the password registered.
12. You will only be able to participate in the Plus scheme once your account has been activated. Members may only have one Plus account which is to be used only by the Member who is named and registered, it is not transferrable nor to be copied.
13. We reserve the right at any time to refuse, merge or close additional accounts or, at our discretion, decline to issue, withdraw or cancel Plus accounts or cards. We reserve the right to monitor the  number of memberships in any household, and the right to cancel any suspected duplicated memberships. Plus cards cannot be transferred, bought, sold or in any way traded.
14. Plus cards and any other items issued by Us remain our property and we may, at any time, terminate the Plus membership scheme in its entirety. We will seek to give you notice of the termination of Plus by providing information on the website and in store. Plus cards must be returned to Us on request or destroyed when no longer valid for use.
15. By participating in Plus, you agree that we and our sub-contractors can collect and use information about you, including your registration details, information about your transactions and other information that you supply. We may use your information to send you information, offers and promotions for products or services, but we won’t release personal details to any third party outside the McColl's group of companies for mailing or marketing purposes, except where that third party provides mailing or marketing services on our behalf. Further information about how we use your personal information can be found in the Privacy Policy.
16. You can choose to leave Plus at any time by logging into your Plus account on-line and accessing the My Account web-page and selecting the ‘Deactivate account’ option. Alternatively you can contact our Customer Service team. Should you wish to opt out of receiving marketing information from us you can do so by accessing the My Account web-page and changing your preferences.
17. We may remove a Member from the Plus scheme at any time without notice where it appears there has been a breach of the Terms, you have provided false or misleading information, behaved in an inappropriate or abusive fashion, or acted against us for example through theft or misconduct. Plus is only for personal use by Members. Plus cards may not be used for any business or commercial purpose. Use of a Plus card does not constitute proof of purchase.
18. Except where stated, the Plus card is valid in McColl's, Martin’s and Rs McColl shops (“Participating Stores”). In order to receive the full benefit of the Plus scheme (through automatic entry into prize draws etc.), Members should present their Plus card during each transaction in Participating Stores and have their cards scanned by a store colleague.
19. Qualifying items for each transaction means all products except the following non-qualifying products: tobacco, stamps, gift cards, infant formula / milk, lottery tickets and games, mobile top-ups, ‘e’ top-ups, bill payments, HND, fuel & cash back, which will be excluded from the Plus scheme. We reserve the right to exclude other products from the scheme at our discretion.
20. Plus cards remain the responsibility of the Member, as do any security details relating to the account. We will not be held responsible for any loss arising from the Member failing to ensure their safe-keeping. If you lose your card, log into your Plus account on-line and follow the instructions on the Lost Card web-page.
21. These terms and conditions replace all previous versions as at today’s date and shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of England and Wales. Terms and conditions which are in store or in hard copy may not be up-to-date and therefore incorrect – please visit the webpage at www.mccolls.co.uk/terms-and-conditions for the latest version. Any disputes will be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales.
22. A person who is not a party to these terms and conditions shall have no right to enforce any term of these terms and conditions.
