Kids just love Halloween – dressing up in scary costumes, trick-or-treating at home and trying to spook each other – what’s not to like? It’s also a great chance for them to get into the kitchen to help you make these fright night treats everyone can enjoy.
400g white chocolate
Lolly sticks or thick skewers
1) Peel each banana, cut in half horizontally and then halve each one again vertically – you should have 4 pieces from each banana.
2) Slide lolly sticks into the middle of each banana segment and put them on a tray in the freezer for 30 minutes.
3) Meanwhile, melt the chocolate in a bowl set over a saucepan of boiling water, stirring constantly as it melts. Pour the chocolate into a mug or Tupperware cylinder. Dip each banana into the chocolate and then place it in a lolly rack (or place in the holes of an upturned colander).
4) Use two choc chip pieces for eyes and when the chocolate has set you can put the bananas back in the freezer ready to eat.
